MAME Spinner Games
- Tempest - A pioneering vector graphics game where players navigate a spacecraft along the edge of a geometric landscape, shooting enemies approaching from the center.
- Arkanoid - A breakout clone that uses a spinner to move the paddle horizontally across the bottom of the screen, breaking bricks and collecting power-ups.
- Breakout - The original brick-breaking game that inspired many clones, requiring precise control to keep the ball in play and clear the screen.
- Pong - The classic table tennis-themed game, where players use the spinner to move their paddle vertically to hit the ball back and forth.
- Super Breakout - An enhanced version of Breakout with additional game modes and increased difficulty, requiring finer control.

I purchased the original Tankstick in 2002, and it served as a great joystick. I did a USB upgrade to it back in 2016 when it came out of my old MAME machine, and kept using it til this year when it went to my son as a graduation gift and I got the new Tankstick Max. Great to see the same durability with the addition of a trackball and spinners.
I bought the newest tankstick two weeks ago and love it so far. The biggest downside is the instructions that come with it are not updated for the newest model. I wasted 30 minutes trying to program keys based on the instructions and the internet came through as always.
Update the instructions and you get 5/5.
The joysticks are solid, the trackball is smooth and the buttons seem sound.
That board from XGaming is all you need. Do not try to satisfy yourself with any cheap boards from China. You will not even get close to the quality of that tankstick!
I bought the original dual tanksticks + trackball six+ years ago and have been loving it, but the keyboard-only output was limiting and I just didn't want the hassle of upgrading the pcb... so this version with the dual spinners (that are SO frictionless it's ridonk) and the Mode4 output was worth the upgrade.
I bought a Pi400 to use with it and so far, it's working great pretty much OotB. I also bought the spinner/trackball usb mixer - it had an issue, but XGaming support were right on top of it, very responsive.
Keep up the good retro work guys!
Upgraded my old tankstick for the paddles and now I can enjoy Tempest and other classics as they were meant to be played. Still built rock solid, still easy to connect and configure. Great work on this one, X Arcade!
